Excerpt from "Love's Embrace", the spiritual experiences of Margaret Carlin:

Message About Our Lady and Medjugorje, September 26th 1990.
The Peace of God is wonderful and mysterious. The Mother of God understands the Peace of God. The Mother of God lives the Peace of God. The Mother of God is a Channel for His Peace. He looks on Her and smiles because through Her He bestows His Peace. And She is a vehicle that is gentle, humble, pure, and maternal. The love of the Mother of God as a mother is unique - it touches a part of God that is mysterious and hidden, and comes from a part that is mysterious and hidden; in a way it is known only to God, but in a sense is known to the Mother and God. The Medjugorje visions are authentic; the visionaries are truly children of God. There are many children of God - men and women - associated with Medjugorje, and used in the overall plan of Medjugorje; some residing there, some, but not all of whom are close to the visionaries; some spread world-wide. All are vehicles of the Mother's Peace - a Peace which comes from the Father. The Message of Medjugorje must be listened to (the Message of Peace). The messages which are secret will be known in time. The Medjugorje experience is not a whim; it was and is part of a great plan. There are two concerns; the Great Mother of God visits Her children daily in this earthly world with the Gospel message of Peace, giving clear advice on the means to attain God's Peace, but not enough people know about this yet, even after earthly years, even after daily apparitions. The other concern is those who, knowing of the experience, would seek to discredit and destroy. Good invites evil, or rather attracts, or rather necessitates the interference of the Evil One. He must discredit the Mother; He must prevent the peace of Her children on this Earth; He must deny them the opportunity of, and indeed their right to, Eternal Peace. He is of the opinion that He can interfere, and He is of the opinion that, in that interference, He can thwart the plans of God. Man seeks to differentiate; Man seeks to label; Man opinionates - often from a position of great unworthiness; Man segregates (talking about those not God-centred). There are some who align themselves with the Devil to annihilate. Where would the ordinary mother centre herself most in the home of many children, e.g. mother of ten, assuming that the influence of her peace flowed through the heart of the dearest or kindest child or children? Would she not gravitate to the place where there was confusion, hostility, fixed notions, beliefs, and even prejudices to influence her children? They are all her children, this mother of ten, but if you were to walk in on the scene, or simply view the scene, would you not find her indeed a mother of easy options if, in your viewing, you always perceived her amongst the children who were at peace with one another, and abandoning, ignoring, turning, as we understand, the blind eye to those children who struggled with one another in bitterness, resentments, and rivalries? Can we question in a world torn in two, not only as an entire world torn in two, but in our perception of communities torn in two, Our Mother, Mother of all our souls, choosing Medjugorje, with its divisions, hostilities, enmities of brother and sister against brother and sister? Is it not conceivable that Our Mother would choose such a place for Her message of God's Peace? Is She not saying, as the Mother of God, as the Mother of all our souls, "You are My divided children; your divisions and hostilities are My sorrow; My desire is that all of you come to Me."
There is no division in the Heart of the Mother. The history of Salvation supersedes, overrides all Earthly history, ridden as it is with conflict, and bitterness and enmity. The Mother is not in the wrong place at the wrong time; the Mother chose the place; the time is vital. We must pray for the intentions of Our Mother. The Message of Medjugorje is Peace to all; She does not label; She does not differentiate; She does not lay guilt - that is the Devil's prerogative. She shows the way to Salvation - to Her Son - and that is open to all. She is the Mother of God. She lived the history of the sufferings. She lives all sufferings in all generations, in all sets or groups, in all denominations, in all that is division. She seeks to unite Her children in Peace. Her's is a message which begins today for tomorrow; it is not a calling to account of yesterday. Read the messages, look to future salvation; turn away from the embittered trenches of past atrocities; look to the Message of your Mother; live the Message of Medjugorje; forgive, reconcile, unite - be truly children of God.
